I live in MN so I am looking forward to the spring, although I did get one good ride in on a 50 degree day in November!

Great bike for the price.

Only downside is how far I can go on one charge. 25 miles or so on Turbo. But I live in a very hilly area.

When I received the bike, the battery would not charge. The four LEDs on the battery flashed on and off at the same time repeatedly. After pressing the battery button many times and holding the button down at different length of time, it finally stopped flashing. It was able to start charging eventually. Not sure if the battery is defective or not. I hope it will work from now on.
Issue #2
The gear shift wasn’t changing smoothly. When I called Ride1up support, I was told to take it to a bike shop. It wasn’t the out of the box working experience that I was expecting.

Usability issue #1
Compare to my Ride1up 700 bike, the Brose handle bar controller/display is hard to use. The power button is hard to turn on/off. The display is too small. The power assist level is in small words not numbers. It is hard to focus on the road and try to read what assist level it is on. The headlight is always on despite the controller has a button to turn on/off the headlight.
Usability issue #2
There is no gear level indicator on the handle bar.

Positive comment:
The bike does ride better than my 700 bike. After fixing the gear shift, the shifting is smoother than the 700 too.
Overall, I think it is a good bike.

If you want to actually ride a bike rather than a motorized scooter this bike is great. I’ve owned 2 Stomers and I like them very much but I think the prodigy gives me more help freely and naturally when I want it. I have to ride the Stromer hard to get assistance. The prodigy is a very well made bike with a fantastic motor. We own another Chinese e-bike with tons of frame flex. It does not give a natural riding experience. When anybody asks about bikes I always suggest the prodigy to them especially in San Diego where they can see and try and get help with the bike. I highly recommend these if you want to ride and feel like you’re riding a bike but as Superman.

I was easy to assemble and worked perfectly within hours of arriving in a box. The only modification needed was I had to order a 400mm seat post ( I am 6’1″), the supplied seat post was way too short. I am using the bike constantly, I’ve only used my car a few times in the 2 weeks since I got this bike.
Love it!
