Please reach out to our customer support. If your basket is disconnecting, that means it’s not fully latched. This could be because it is too tight, or it is not installed correctly. Please send us a photo and we can explain and repair this issue for you. The basket will not ‘detach’ once installed correctly.

Absolute disappointment. We bought the Large Cargo Basket for easy errands and hauling stuff on our bike — but every single time my daughter hits the tiniest bump the basket detaches and flies off. We now need bungees just to keep it from falling off mid-ride. Completely defeats the purpose of a “secure” cargo basket. No amount of tightening fixes the underlying problem — frankly, it feels unsafe to use.

A little tricky to assemble, but the youtube videos helped a lot. Carries my stuff just fine.

In reply to Louis Matz. Hi Louis, you shouldn't need to use a tap and die set to get this one built. That indicates something was wrong if those tools were needed. I am glad you got it working though and thank you for sharing your experience.

The basket was functional but the threads for the screws used for assembly were of poor quality. And the two screw types were inconsistent with the instructions and the shorter ones were still too long. But, one can make them work.

Took long time to receive product due to back order problem but Ride1Up made it right!!! Basket arrived as promised and was very easy to assemble. Excellent size and works great! Very easy to attach to bike!

Once put together seems great and looks good. However I’m thankful I own a tap and die set. Two holes were not threading the bolts correctly and kept binding up. I recut the threading on them and fixed the problem myself. Instructions were off too. The bolt with using an Allen key was switched with the one using a screw driver in the instructions. Thank God I knew what I needed to do to put this together right. Once together, however, it looks great and appears solid .

You do NOT want to switch the latch to the looser one. Please switch back to the original latch ‘piece’ and we can explain the fit.

The tolerances are correct. I am sending you an email to address how to correct this.
